Good Lord. 1-16 combined. Not good!

end of summer, most teams aren't competing for a playoff spot, been on the road for 8-10 weeks, ready to get home for a few days before returning to school. I think their minds are elsewhere towards the end of summer ball.

thanks for all the summer updates. Looking forward to the upcoming fall season and checking out all the new faces.

Hopefully 66 will start a Fall Campaign 2016 thread...

Brodie.. 1-4, 1 R, 1 RBI

Former Vol Zach Reid has pitched 1.1 innings of no hit ball in relief so far for the Bucs.

Proud of Jordon Rodgers this summer. I know he was bummed about not getting drafted, but he handled it well and had solid summer in the Cape. He will help UT this year and get his chance to play pro ball next summer.

Cape Cod League

Neither Brewster nor Hyannis made the Final Four in the Cape Playoffs. Hunter Martin pitched a team high 51.1 innings for Brewster finishing with a 2.82 ERA. Jacob Westphal pitched 8 innings, still in recovery mode and Soto pitched 18.1 innings and struck out 14.

On July 20th Jordan Rodgers was batting .290. From July 21 to Aug. 6th he got 4 hits in 47 at bats and he finished with a .241 BA. Still he led the team in RBI, tied for leader in Runs.

Alaska Baseball League

Will Neely (1-4) finished with a 4.00 ERA. His 36 IP were second most on the team. He had 21 K/17 BB.

NECBL

Leftridge and his Valley Blue Sox are on the verge of playing for the Championship and Brodie has led the way with his team high 4 RBI in the playoffs. With a strong end to the regular season, Brodie finished at .269, third best for Valley, his 11 doubles was second best and he tied for the team lead with 19 steals. On the defensive side his 8 errors were also tied for the team high.

AHC finished with a disappointing 8.67 ERA in 9.1 IP with 9 K and 6 BB. Still, it's good experience for a young guy.

Coastal Plains League

Daniel Vazquez finished the regular season with a 4.96 ERA, 28 K/15 BB. Forest City finished first in their division and the playoffs begin August 10th.

This would start around the last week of September and go through Halloween, or so it has been the last two years.

Solid summer for Hunter.

Brodie went 2/4 last night, but the Sox lost 11-4. He also pitched the 9th inning only allowing one hit. No walks or K's.

The Sox can clinch Division Championship with a win tonight over Sanford.
