NCAA panel recommends marijuana be dropped from banned substance list

Denying what? There are literally millions of Americans who believe marijuana should be legal that don"t use it on a regular basis or don't use it at all. Just because someone disagrees with your opinion on it doesn't make them an addict or stoner. BTW, I'm not high right now as you suggested nor do get my info from users as you suggested.

Just a reminder: Yes, I do live on planet earth.
Less than 1/10th of 1% of ALL D1 student athletes are arrested for marijuana in any given year. So no, it's not a huge issue
I don't know what percentage athletes get arrested for marijuana any more than you do...I'd be willing to bet money that it is more than .1% though. Millions of Americans aren't on this forum making nonsensical arguments advocating for student drug use. Marijuana users are.

That's the great thing about legal marijuana, don't have to worry about **** like that.
Will be interesting to see what happens when an athlete dies from marijuana laced with fentanyl. It’s just a matter of time
I ain't never heard of a pot smoker lacing weed
Will be interesting to see what happens when an athlete dies from marijuana laced with fentanyl. It’s just a matter of time[/QUOTES not really sure why that would happen unless it was deliberately done or the athlete laced it himself which suggests that athlete had a hard drug addiction. A pot dealer is more likely to mix in some homegrown if anything.

Yes, I know it for a fact. I did the math, which was quite easy. The data needed is readily available. Of course millions of Americans aren't in this forum.

WOW! You must live in the tiniest of bubbles. Spend a day perusing a wide range of message boards on the subject and enlighten yourself to the absurdity of your last two statements. Then spend a day perusing high volume, highly qualified studies on marijuana vs. alcohol, tobacco and cigarettes.

Also, you've openly accused people of being addicts simply for disagreeing with you. You've done it in a disparagingly and negative manner at that. That's not only immature, but irresponsible and petulant

Based on your posts, you must live under a bridge out in the sticks

I’m not a marijuana user and I’m advocating for the legal use of it. The evidence of it’s usefulness is easily obtained and verified.

So...you make stuff up, can't support it with a shred of evidence, then call anyone who calls you out on it a "deluxe troll". 👍
Facts. Less than 100 student-athletes were arrested for marijuana related crimes last year. There are 192,000 D1 student-athletes. You do the math

Sounds like "trust the science".

Yes, people with years of intense medical training based on peer-reviewed scientific research based on data that has built on past research/data, and who are certified based on that training, are far more qualified to proffer medical diagnoses/opinions than people on message boards who call themselves influencers and watch YouTube videos that appeal to their own ignorance, fears, and biases.

The way a large swath of our population has decided to simply dismiss experts in their field, as if their training, certifications, and data-driven approach mean nothing, is a large reason why we are living in an idiocracy.

I don’t think anyone should ever consume anything addictive or that has an impact on the human nervous system. PERIOD!
Now let me go get another cup of coffee!

Just my personal opinion and experience, but if you need pain management then weed is the way better option. Opioid dependency is the devil and it’s ruined a lot of our lives, family, and community. I would recommend thc over pain medication any day.

Works many wonders over the big pharma side Effects of psych meds for our
PTSD Veterans including myself. I’m actually in conversation with UT about a documentary on many veteran programs including this very topic. I met my contact in the Psychosocial Therapy Recovery Program at the VA in JC . He’s a member of this community ❤️

You believe a website promoting a Christian worldview is unbiased?

LOL

Like all industries that prey upon vices, such as gambling or pornography, pot is less about actually helping people and more about keeping them hooked and paying.

Though at this point it seems almost impossible to put this destructive genie back in the bottle, any state, company, or person truly interested in helping others will work to reign in the reckless peddling of recreational marijuana use.

Cannabis is legal in many states and in the states where it isn't hemp derived THC is legal. There is no way to differentiate between the two when it comes to a drug screen. You can even test positive for THC if you use certain CBD gummies. We shouldn't be punishing literal adults who may want to smoke a bowl or pop a gummy on the weekends.
