I am happy for him. Josh Heupel did a great job with Joe’s development, both on and off the field. He is a fine young man with incredible physical talent. I hope it all comes together for him.

- The lack of Vols in this draft shows the team and staff overachieved with 9 wins last year.

He has the physical skills but I don’t know if he’ll ever grasp the football smarts needed to play the game. I hope he does.

Hope it works out, but they drafted a QB with the third overall pick. Very little upside for Joe here. On the other hand, he has nothing to lose.

Pats have done this a few times in the past. Draft a lower ranked guy and had them be successful as a backup then ship them off for higher draft picks in the future. Milton has all the raw potential to be a steal in this draft, he just has to put it all together.

This is nothing but good news for us. CJH is 2/2 in getting his starting QBs drafted at UT. With Nico he should be 3/3. Great to get our guys opportunities in the league and big for recruiting long-term.

Perhaps team personnel who aren't as conceited as Milton haters.

I listened to one of the ATL staff on the reason they got Penix and it was understandable.
Said they don't plan on being in the position to be picking this high again, felt they were built to run into the playoffs and if a franchise QB is there, you get him and let him learn under a good Vet
Cousins probably wasn't happy but I say dude you got $90mil guaranteed, go play ball

It's happened before. Redskins did it with both Shuler (Frerotte) and RG3 (Cousins). I'm sure they aren't the only ones.

The hilarious outcome of both of those situations is the guy they drafted later ended up having a much better career.
