I hope the Bajakian hate is going to die down now

The fact is that no other line in the country is this bad, and if they are then the OC at least knows how to run plays to hide it.

Its sad that OCs outside the power 5 can make their lines look better against top teams than our OC can. You can say youth or whatever but the fact is our OL coach and OC have much better talent to work with and still can't make them at least appear better than an FCS team.

Where?

So you're saying that we don't have better talent than every single FCS team and even most FBS teams on the Oline?
Just go take a look at the recruiting ranking of these players and then compare that to what MOST teams get stuck working with. Now how in the world does a Utah St, Boise St, or even most teams in the country have a better Oline than us, or at the worst equal to us?

Yes the Oline coach needs to go because its been 2 years of nothing but excuses. But the OC isn't free and clear. Its his job to know his Os weaknesses and then to scheme to hide them. Instead he runs slow developing run plays and will only run a wr screen for a quick throw. We should have a rb screen,, quick slants, quick outs and every single other quick pass play possible in our playbook with this line. But nope he refuses, and this is big time college football, not MAC or AAC, so yes he also needs to go.

With such inexperience for the ENTIRE front 5 in the SEC?

The "inexperience" thing went out the window when they got mauled by the mighty University of Tennessee, Chattanooga Mocs.

Step back.

And remind yourself they looked bad against UTC.

And they have a Soph and 2 RS FR that apparently can't beat out a walk-on SR and 2 true Freshmen.

A walk-on and 2 Freshmen is like Jones' excuse mine. "But how can our team function with a scrub and 2 babies on it?" And the parrots echo.

Echo.

First and foremost, I still think the playcalling has been suspect a few times in different games. (Ie. The 3rd and 2 against Oklahoma at their 6.) But, up until this week I was calling (in my mind) for Bajakian to be canned.

I honestly think this boils down to a number of things, and yes some of you will wonder what I'm smoking, but the more you think about it the truer it seems and the more sense it makes.

Coming into this season no one expected the east to be as down as it has been and if you say you did, you're a liar.

The number of things:
1. The staff knew it had a year left with Worley and also that he didn't fit the system like they wanted. He is a true pocket passer and could've been a great one. But, given Ferguson leaving and having to burn Dobbs RS last year, right now on this roster they have a scholarship QB for 2 more years only. But, if they RS Dobbs this year, they have one for at least 3. Exactly what they're doing with him.

2. Why start over a new scheme for an inexperienced OL? It'll be like switching coaching staffs again. What happens when they finally land their QB they're looking for and they have to retrain them for their scheme? We'll see the same train wreck.

3. Honestly, along with the SEC east being down, no one thought our D would be this much improved. Besides a few busted plays, this D is one of the best in the country. Although it would've been nice to have an offense to go with it, this D, besides AJJ and a few others, will be back next year and the year after. They will know the defense perfectly and it will show.

4. Whether you want to admit it or not. Two calls from the refs in two games really hurt us. The spot on fourth against Georgia and play clock on the field goal against Florida. If not for those, the excitement from winning would've probably trumped all of your sore attitudes.

Of course this won't make sense to most of you, but this really is a PROCESS. You have to fix things as you go, but some things can't be fixed right away. Scheming isn't something you just change because your players don't fit the mold you need. You just work with what you got and hope no one takes your head before you get your players.

And before you all start saying "well auburn and ole miss did it"... Yeah they did. Look at the players they have and look at their system. They were already there, just waiting to be groomed.

All that sounds like it should work, but the the opponent can get pressure with a 3 or 4 man front and drop 7 or 8 back into coverage

You are comparing UT's O Line and Chattanooga's D Line which are two COMPLETELY different skill sets. There is absolutely no correlation.

Perpetual excuse making has the stench of failure on it...

You have two years to teach someone a system... they should be able to grasp a good portion of it.

That stench you smell is more than likely the aroma of your self loathing. You are ripe with it. You should probably shower.

We lost our entire offensive line you freaking stupid! They were replaced by 2 Fr and a walk on. You can make snotty comments about excuses all you want but the facts say you're just being a sniveling child. Go cry to someone else.

It's not just learning the system it's everything (system, technique, conditioning, strength, agility toughness).

You are so busy trying to place the blame that you missed the elephant sitting next to you.

You should learn to self reflect. It's helps build character and can be a valuable asset when facing conflict.

IIRC, UTC has 2 D lineman that are NFL propects, one of them the kid from Knoxville.

The Ole Miss game is a must win. Otherwise, the losses will stack up and a 4-8 season will probably happen.

It is tough to run any quick pass route when the CB's are playing press man every down and LB's are dropping into coverage every down.

As was stated earlier when the DL is getting pressure with only 4 guys then the passing lanes are going to be filled with the 7 guys that drop into coverage. Now what do you do?

I'm sure that starting the 2nd and 3rd string qbs for almost half the year played very little into that ranking

Do you know who else had to replace their starting QB?

Auburn - 13th in Scoring Offense
Mizzou - 14th in Scoring Offense
Georgia - 22nd in Scoring Office
South Carolina - 33rd in Scoring Offense
Vanderbilt - 57th in Scoring Offense

What's your excuse now?

Only two have been coached less than 6 months

And BS on the talent. These kids just need to be coached

They need time to mature as starters in this league.

I'm sure they have been and will continue to be "coached".

You're so stuck on trying not to be wrong that it doesn't even matter what the issue is anymore, does it?

When did facts turn into excuses? If you take a team in the first year of a scheme and is struggling then insert the freshman qb that was getting 4th string reps in camp and then add the defense getting scored on at will which takes the running game off the board your offense probably isn't going to be very good
