Surprised to see Geathers hitting cleanup but she can drive in a lot of runs with vines and Leach in the one and two.

Bottom of 4th. Gaffin bunts out. Ralph on the girls for going after high pitches. Vines fouls one off a lady down from me . I could tell it hurt. Vines hard out to left. Man does she hit the ball hard. Leach safe at first on a grounder to third. Lilly ph for Gregg. Leach steals second again. Lilly grounds to the pitcher. Still 3-0.

Something about having Overstreet behind the plate that calms the Tennessee pitchers.....The bats will be fine and get going as the season progresses.....and this lineup will be crazy good!! Like the fact Gaffin is at 9 and Vines at 1!!!

Bottom of fifth. Geathers bunt pop up for an out. Third time that's happened. Geer strikes out. Overstreet bloop single over second. McLain grounder to short, both runners safe. Mcswain ground out to third. 3-0 after five.

Top of sixth. Gabriel groundout to third, strikeout, walk, runner out first for leaving early.

Bottom of sixth. Ralph doing a lot of subbing. At bat Gaffin ground out to second. Vines looks like a gazelle - great physique. She singles to right then steals second. Leach walks. Huffstetler bats next and pops to short. Geathers Texas leaguer double drives home two! Lockman bats next and grounds or short. 5-0 UT.

Top of 7th. Gaffin boots a grounder. Runner to 2nd. Gabriel can't field a slow roller. Runners at the corners no outs.

EG with a complete game shut out to start the season!!! Vines will remind a lot of people of Raven and Gibby mix....she has a lot of speed but she has a ton of power also.....glad she chose Tennessee

Overstreet pops up. Two out. Aucoin getting her hacks in and walks in a run. BYU crowd gives the ump heck. Mcswain pops out. 2-0 UT.

Moss gives up a leadoff single. Strikes out the next batter, fly ball out to Geer in left center. Moss is throwing really hard but BYU is getting their bats on it. Her pitches have no movement right now. Runner to second on passed ball. Several foul balls. Walks her. Two on two out.

Gaffin walks. Vines ground out short, Gaffin to second. Leach flies out left center. Gregg takes the count to 3-0 and then walks. Geathers long fly out to the fence. 2-0 TN.
