As Vols fans, we’re familiar with the Liam Coen drama at Kentucky. Hired in 2021 and they won 10 games, ran back to the LA Rams in 2022 to be their OC and then back to Kentucky in 2023 for dramatically less results and then poof off again to the NFL. Lost in the details of those travails is their OL coach saga. Eric Wolford was their OL coach in that 10 win season. Out on a recruiting trip and Saban called him to offer their OL position. He accepted and bailed right in the middle of the visit! Zach Yenser replaced him and after they lost 5 NFL draft picks, they needed to rebuild that unit. Got an extension in December…fired in January. His replacement? Dude that dumped them the second Papa Saban beckoned. This is textbook program flailing from Stoops imo.
