Wow, over the course of the thread she's gone from third option on her HS team, to Alexis Hornbuckle, to Jewell Loyd, to bringing lob city to Knoxville! The legend of MeMe continues to grow....

Yeah, they do a poor job ranking the girls. Not a lot of resources are devoted to scouting them.

The coaching they get in high school is also not always as good as what the guys get so there is more of a chance they can blossom at the next level.

This is where the fact that our recruiting budget is several times as large as most programs should really give us an advantage.

That is strange that Tennessee, arguably the most storied WBB program in history, would rank so low. For a tough conference we sure do not spend much money on our WBB programs as a whole. What team is number 3? To get the best you have to spend money on your program.

Didn't Geno Aurienema have a law suit or something filed against him by a black woman that charged that he sexually harassed her? What was the outcome?

If I was only DREAMING that, please correct me.

Ucon fans, and others, saying Jackson is no good. Jackson would probably be 1st team all-conference in the AAC.

Exactly. This is a Vol forum. We have fans of Kentucky. Uconn, USC,etc chiming in. Guess what? We don't care what you think. Go voice yourself on your own team's chat rooms.

I don't know exactly what these numbers mean but you can probably thank Dave Hart for this. When he became the athletic director his number one goal was to get the athletic department budget in line and part of that was to cut spending on women's basketball and to also skimp on men's basketball.

I would think that the pay differential between Pat Summitt and Holly Warlick plays into this as well, but I could be wrong.
