Manu Ginobili and the Spurs are making their annual late season run. Manu has simply been an MVP caliber player this past month, but now Tony Parker is getting healthy. It's all about the Lakers acquiring Gasol, the Suns getting Shaq, the Mavs getting Jason Kidd, or Chris Paul's emergence as one of the top 2 PG's in the league. I'm sure the league's most underated and best coach Greg Popovich doesn't care. All the media can keep picking other teams and saying the Spurs are old, but they're young enough to once again prove everyone wrong again this season

About freaking time.

Other teams in the west have had nice runs this season, and everybody thinks that there is a larger variety of contenders.

Well, sorry to say it but the same teams who have had all the success in recent years are stll the ones who are best-built for the rigors of multiple best of seven game series in the playoffs.

Still, in every magazine you read people say the Spurs are too old, and can't get it done. Popavich is the best coach in the NBA for a reason, and Tim Duncan is as good as or better than any single individual once the playoffs start.
