DB Michael Williams, 3-star walk-on

Another guy who's adding some muscle and a guy who will have a great shot this spring at early some playing time in the fall is walk-on defensive back Michael Williams. The cornerback, who nearly played in 2013, but the shoulder injury just set him back too far and it was unclear how his playing, even as a walk-on, would have impacted the Vols' numbers. But he's going to get a real shot in the spring. His speed is something that defensive backs coach Willie Martinez always talks about and Martinez is interested to see if Williams can physically hold up this spring with a lot of contact.

I've heard both Swain and Treece talk about Williams. Great speed, track guy, nasty attitude, very short memory. Season said he thinks if he stays healthy he battles for the CB spot opposite Sutton. Had bad shoulder injury this past year or he would've challenged for significant playing time according to Swain. Would be huge to have him and/or Riyahd step up and take that CB spot this year.

kid is a baller. Got some practice time in but couldn't get healthy enough with a shoulder. Got close to playing some nickel but hurt it again.

If we're really gonna break it down it would equate to a 4.4. 1 meter > 1 yard.

It equates to 10 straight 4.32 40's.

Well, yeah to be more accurate 4.4 but 10 straight!

I bet the kid runs a 4.2 40.

His 110 meter hurdle time would equate to 4.69 40!
