VAN’S DALTON SANTOS RECEIVES 2012 UNDER ARMOUR ALL-AMERICA JERSEY

[Nov. 3, 2011] VAN, Texas – Dalton Santos, a senior football player from Van High School, was presented his honorary game jersey at the American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the 2012 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game Thursday afternoon at Van High School in Van, Texas. The event was part of the four-month American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the Under Armour All-America Game.

Santos is one of 90 players selected to compete in the fifth-annual Under Armour All-America Game presented by American Family Insurance, a nationally televised competition spotlighting the country’s top high school seniors. The 2012 Under Armour All-America Game is slated for Jan. 5, 2012, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., and will be televised on ESPN.

Santos is currently ranked No. 93 overall in the ESPNU Top 150 and No. 1 at inside linebacker, and is committed to play for the Tennessee Volunteers.

“I’m so honored,” Santos said. “All the hard work and late hours are validated by the invitation to play in this game. I can’t wait to make little Van, Texas, proud.”

The national Selection Tour sponsored by American Family Insurance is an expansion of the Under Armour All-America Game. As part of American Family Insurance's involvement, the events will raise awareness around teen driving safety and recognize the student athletes, as well as the coaches, families and communities who have helped make these players' dreams a reality.

“These athletes are achieving their dreams as result of their own dedication and the support of their coaches and teammates, their families and friends,” said Deborah Peterson, American Family Insurance’s customer relationship marketing director. “In turn, they are spreading the teen safe driving message to other students in the hope that they, too, will be able to reach their dreams.”

The American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the Under Armour All-America Game continues tomorrow, when Lucas Thompson (West Orange High School – Winter Garden, Fla.), and Tanner Mangum (Eagle High School – Eagle, Idaho) will be presented with their honorary Under Armour All-America Game jerseys at their respective schools.

Tickets for the Under Armour All-America Game may be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000 (service fees apply). Tickets may also be purchased in person from the Tropicana Field Box Office.

Ryan Karl 2.0 IMO

Went an away game against his high school his senior year. Stood next an obviously drunk redneck who yelled "Ryan KARL!!" as loud as he could in his best Bill Brasky voice every time Ryan made a play (and sometimes when he didn't).

If this guy turns out to even be worth 1/2 the hype, he will make an instant impact on this program on and off the field. If this kid comes and produces early, he will be an instant recruiter that other kids will see and want to be like and want to be on the same side of the field with.

Yes, he's white and can't dance, nor can he sing worth a lick. He's also physically awkward, devilishly wealthy, and the driver of a four-dour minivan!
