Speaks volumes about what ZZ and his family means to VolNation and SEC.

It’s no secret that Tennessee fans are passionate about the Vols’ plays on the field, but this past week, many UT fans have taken the ‘Volunteer Spirit’ to heart.

In reality, one of our own members here got the ball rolling on that, yet declined to take any credit as he said it was the right thing to do. But some of us remember what he did for that family.

Honestly, I was a simple a spark which helped a fan base catch fire in a time of need. The real MVPs are the ones who fanned the flames and donated. The results are all the thanks I need.

Whenever I’m talking to someone and they say ” Voles “, I ask them
” How do you pronounce’ Volunteer’ , we’ll just leave off the ‘ unteer’,
and that’s how our shortened nickname is pronounced.
