Well that is because you live down there.

It certainly doesn't help, that's for sure. But generally I find Gator fans to be merely obnoxious, loud, noveau-riche types. In other words, no different from a lot of fans whose teams win so much that they get to take it for granted. In contrast, I find there to be a real ugliness underneath about UGA fans somehow. They're fans of a team that is always pretty good but never nearly as good as they think it should rightfully be, and over time it's beat the fanbase into a pretty constant state of surliness and snarl. That is a bitter bunch of people to be around, win or lose.
