Only 2 mins in he repeats the "younger this year than last" remark. We get it already.
is starting to wear thin--and there's no doubt why he ALWAYS talks about it, either. He puts it out there--early and often--in case we don't win games. That's the PR crutch. The thing is, even if we ARE young, a LOT of teams are young. MOST teams are young. Everybody is playing a lot of freshmen/young players; it is not something unique to UT. The truth is, we've got a LOT of guys back, too--most everybody on the OL, top RB, QB, most of our receivers, a number of DBs and LBs. Just go win.

Oooooooor he is putting that narrative out there for recruits to show that if you are talented, you'll play early. Butch Jones is never, ever NOT recruiting.
It would be as tiresome as when Dooley whined about how hard it was to recruit to Tennessee (Butch proved this wrong) or Mason whining about how hard it is to find quality athletes to qualify for Vandy.
Point is, weak and poor coaches always make excuses. To quote Sean Connery's character from the 1996 riveting action movie The Rock:
"Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and [expletive deleted] the prom queen."
Time to stop whining about youth, talent, depth, schedule, rain, grass, penalty monsters, C'th'u'lu, etc. You're in Year 3. Go win. That's it.
Could easily be used against us.
"See how many young players Jones and his crew have? That means they're not loyal to their upperclassmen and will put you out to pasture as soon as they replace you. They're constantly young because people get tired of their schtick and leave [references list of upperclassmen that have left disgruntled]."
Not that that is true... but that's recruiting. Every time you open your mouth, it can be used against you.

If JRM goes down who is behind him? If Sutton goes down? Kerbyson? Randolph? North? Hurd? Dobbs?is starting to wear thin--and there's no doubt why he ALWAYS talks about it, either. The answer to most of those would be true Frosh or redshirt Frosh. When the answer becomes Juniors and redshirt soph your opinion will be valid.
All of the local media and national media talks about the youth of this team. It isn't just Jones.
