UGA had 58 by the end of the 3rd.
We had 35. That's less than 12 plays per quarter.

We've seen drives longer than 12 plays before.

Banks is an average DC. Not special but not as bad as many think. We've had stops. But the offense literally will punt it right back.

This is all on Josh Heupel. He recruited Joe Milton and has stuck with him. as Nico has probably been underdeveloped somewhat from lack of playing.

9-4 season ain't bad. That's a decent year.

Assuming a win in a bowl game? How can you assume that with the way this team has been playing? They have rolled over and died 4 games this year.
8-5 more likely

Banks is handcuffed with our poor backfield. Our soft zone and bend don’t break defense is terrible when DL isn’t getting to the QB. We saw multiple man coverages today on slants and they were wide open. Martinez needs to be shown the door. We aren’t coaching the secondary the right way.

Serious question here. Would we be lucky enough to have Joe skip the bowl game to get ready for the draft?
What can he get ready for? He can’t read a defense. He throws too hard. Barely any touch on most long balls (players have to adjust to get to it), and he runs his mouth more than he runs with his legs.

Someone will draft him on potential and I hope it works out there. He is just a tad better than when he got here and that is the sad part.

2 of 8 drives is not "getting stops". Georgia scored on 6 of the first 8, with 7 3rd down conversions. That really is that bad.

We suxed on both sides of the ball--period. We couldn't convert on 3rd down and punted over and over again. Our defense couldn't get off
the field as georgia faced a number of longish 3rd downs and usually converted. Basic execution vs. poor execution.

Yes. We need nico to actually get some meaningful snaps. He should honestly start next week. Doubtful that will happen but milton provides us with no upside against vandy. We should absolutely destroy them with our 3rd string. Atleast getting nico a start would help calm his nerves and provide him some experience.

when all you run is 3 and out, you're not gonna run that many plays. its math
....
Thanks for telling me that water is wet.

What!?

What do you think the damn point of the post was??

I said "we've seen longer offensive drives than 12 plays".

I can't.....

I've said this all year, how does this team practice all week and play this bad on Saturday ? How does CJH watch game film and still keep letting Milton lose games for us ? How does CJH watch game film and not say we got a problem with our secondary and play calling ?

Show Banks the door

Milton gave up 9 of 13 third downs with 6 of them being 5+ yards to go? Milton gave up 13 plays of 15+ yards? Defense is still key to win, and this one can't even be called garbage because that's giving garbage a bad name. While Milton hasn't been THE reason for a win, he sure as hell hasn't been THE reason for a loss.

Single digit points last week and only 10 this week does have something to do with it. Both sides have issues, but competent qb play that a team can be confident in would have made a huge difference this season.
