#3 Arkansas @ #1 LSU (CBS 2:30)

If we win by 3 in OT, then they should get the AP.

Should they get both if you only win by 1?

If LSU beats UGA they should get the trophy with Bama and OSU playing in a bowl for second. Given who they beat they shouldn't have to beat a team twice.

If Alabama wins by 1, they'll deserve any trophy they get because they'll have won in regulation, which is more than LSU can say for last time they played.

Step by step: LSU still obviously has to play in a national championship game. So, they should play the second-best team in the country...which is Alabama. It's that simple. Division standings, past meetings, etc. don't factor into that at all.

Still, the sitting idle for two straight weeks though, while everyone sat there debating and discussing whether the national championship should be a rematch of the last game of the season, that loosened it up and eventually caused them to fall when the opportunities (UF winning its conference championship) arose.

Don't forget, USC had jumped them to number 2 after their first idle week(...just that they then lost to UCLA)

Their not playing through 2/3 sets of rankings hurt them more than UF's extra game (...it also partially showed how - given more and
more time to think on it - the voters were starting to feel that those two teams shouldn't play each other again...no rematches/they already had their chance/whatever one might choose to call it)

That extra week also gave voters time to do some homework on UF's strength of schedule vs. Michigan's...and Ohio State's.

Yelling "**** you" across the field at Miles during the game is noteworthy,

Clay Travis is over-blowing this on his site, even has the YouTube clip up; which when I watch it, it doesn't look like he's saying what Travis claims he is.

LSU walked into Alabama in the biggest game of the year and beat them on their own field, what does OT have to do with it?

As to the bold, it should and probably will in the future. Losing your division at home shouldn't trump a conference champ with the same record.

Not to take anything away from a very goid LSU team, but Bama did more to beat Bama than LSU did.

Well, they're about to play a bigger one.

Isn't the goal to have the two best teams in the country play each other for the championship? Correct me if I'm wrong but that's pretty simple...
