Does he forfeit the money if he signs elsewhere, or does AF get it no matter what?

I'm pretty sure they still have to pay him no matter what. That's unless the team that signs him agrees to pick up part of the tab which is very unlikely. They will be working on their own deal for him & nothing leftover from what the Texans owe him.
