'17 AL DE LaBryan Ray

Is that what Kirby Smart and Ed O are doing now, selling promises?

That UGA staff has 4 or 5 times the NFL experience the Vols staff has. Ed O + LSU is a bit of a perfect storm in regards to recruiting. On the field results remain to be seen for both.

its 'Nosirree', 'Nosirree', 'Pandemonium Reigns'!!!

back to Ray. do we get a visit? do we have a shot? ill hang up and listen.

Visiting this weekend, running second behind bama according to most. Visits them next weekend followed by Florida the next weekend.

REO Speedwagon (Golden Country & Ridin' the Storm Out; RIP Gary Richrath) AND ZZ Top (Brown Sugar & Just Got Paid + ALL of Tres Hombres) circa '71 - '73. BEST! What happened to good music?

I ask that a lot. Quick story. Went to vegas w the wife last summer & saw a great cover band at an outdoor venue in "old" vegas. The stage sat on a former side street w 2 casino's either side & 2 more opposite of them like

_____c| |c_______

_____c|¤|c________

The main street (the street isnt open for car travel any longer) has a canopy running the length of it for several blocks so you are shaded but its still open air. Any way the band played 70s to 90s rock, pop, southern rock etc. So as people walked thru the main street to the various casino's they would stop & dance & listen. It was amazing to see people in tuxedos & evening gowns litterally jambing next to street people. All races, ages & income brackets together thru the music having a great time. I was amazed at the power that music can have & keep wondering where it has gone.

...and if they were worth their salt, they would still be coaching in the NFL. Just saying......

We should also see a difference in in-state recruiting with a relevant program. We are relevant again whether you think we underperformed or not. Much easier to pull in state guys when the program is relevant while they are in high school and the coaches have built relationships.

Too many on the board are still not admitting the extent of injuries this year and just point to Vandy as how terrible we are. Losing JRM was huge...having an unhealthy Cam was huge. Losing Tuttle and McKenzie was huge. Biggest mistake Butch made was pandering to Hurd instead of telling him to shape up or ship out earlier.

Look at Boulware and Foster the other night. Basically what we lost by losing JRM. And I know someone will say but you should just plug in the next guy but it doesn't always doesn't work....will admit that have either missed on some in LB recruiting or development.

Long way to the "nothing" narrative you spin. Your prostate too dry to urinate on Theo Jackson and Bumphus and Calbert? We didn't want Richardson or Richards, so your whole "lost the state" bull is built on Tee Higgins and Stevens...oh and Jacob Phillips. :hi:

From the way it sounds we really only missed on the first two as we don't believe Phillips is an LB.

We did try (half heartedly) to get back in on that one. Think Ignont offsets that "loss".

Someone is gone other than Debord if Wells is doing inhome visits. A lot of recruits are raving about Wells.

Vol questions pretty much laughed and anticipateven wells as the next online coach and stated he's a monster recruiter in Nashville area. How well he coaches is my question. Our line really hasn't grown

Good ole Byron "I Shole is hungry" DeVinner tweeted to Ray after he posted a pic of himself in UT jersey on his visit that he needs to go to Bama. Lol.

I want to believe but him being the #1 player in the state of Alabama points to one school... Alabama has so much pull money wise in state

True, but why hasn't he already committed? Makes me think he wants to play early and likes TN. If he was a Bama Lock I would think he would've already committed

I know this doesn't apply to most kids and it's even harder for an in-state kid, but do you ever think certain kids do not want to play for Alabama so they can make more of their own legacy? And what I mean by that is recently if you go to Alabama you more than likely sit on the depth chart for a couple seasons and then get a chance to play and you blend in with the other stars on the field. I know it's easy to point to their winning record and championships, but what if some kids want more than that.

If he comes to Tennessee he would be one of the main stars. He would have the chance to play early and would help lead a legacy of bringing Tennessee back to the top.

I seem to remember them doing it with a linebacker last year but I could be wrong

I don't know. But since he hasn't committed yet, I don't believe the door is shut yet. Hopefully he wants to contribute early and be another Barnett for us
