But someone has to rebound and be an enforcer in the paint.......

Yes!!!! Tyndall is going to refuse to recruit any rebounders. In fact, he doesn't believe in rebounding at all. He will only sign 5'0" centers just to prove this to you.

Our last coach never focused on steals because he said they weren't important. < This actually happened

AND not all of those scorers are gonna get to play much. With so many guys, there are bound to be a few that don't see as much playing time because there simply aren't enough positions for them ALL to put up massive points. Can't really have a bunch of 6'3 6'4 guys trying to snag D. Rebounds on Kentucky's 6'8 6'9 bigs.

UT will run a lot of 3 guard / 2 forward sets and 2 guard / 3 forward sets. He will be able to win a lot of games this way. Much like Pearl did with the exception of having Brian Williams in the paint. It is purely possible to "out athlete" the opposition.

Chill people, he will get some size in here.

Dang, how many SGs would that put us at? I suppose some could run point too but I figured they'd try to land some more big bodies with the limited space that's left.

A bunch . Depth at the position keeps fresh legs on the floor and someone is bound to have a hot hand. :hi:

no but there is much unknown about Hubbs and his game at the collegiate level.

I will agree with you there. However most 5 stars move on before their senior year (at least in my experience). Some are ready, some are not but it seems they all get the itch to go make some money prior to their senior season.

True but which big on this roster could play for Louisville?

Stephen Van Treese was the 6-9 guy. He averaged 21 minutes a game last year and 2.9 points per game and only about 6 rebounds.

Mangok Mathiang averaged 14 minutes but only 3.6 points and 3.6 rebounds.

Apparently Slick Rick believes size doesn't matter.

That being said, I'm not sure how Pops would compare to those two.

Seems like CDT doesn't want any scoring drop off regardless of which lineup is on the floor. At least this seems to be the approach he is taking with the amount of scorers he's recruiting. The priority is on offense which is clearly different than CCM.

If this guy had his grades in order you would've seen a lot more schools come calling last year. He went to prep school out of high school because of grades, averaged 30+Ppg in prep school last year, but didn't have the grades so it scared off most schools. Was NJCAA 2nd team all-American last year as a frosh, and assuming he gets his grades in line will likely be a highly sought after JUCO in the 2015 class.

Tell that to the 2 7'2 guys and the 6'10 guy they have coming in.

I never said he would turn down the tall ones if they're available. Just making the point that he can be successful without giants and hopefully we can as well.

Remember, we're shopping at TJ Maxx, not Neiman Marcus. We can still get designer labels. It's just the sizes and selections are limited.
