'13 FL RB Derrick Henry (Bama commit)

With Bo and hopefully Rock on board no way I see SM coming. And if UA is really trying to add 3 RBs in 2014 Fournette has to be one we keep after. IMO he is better than any RB in the 2013 or 2014 class. LF is a beast and would go down as one of the greatest pulls for any team to get him out of LA.

Rock visited AU this past weekend and came away with UA still out front. Will visit UA this weekend and many expect him or Moss to be our 2nd 2014 commitment.

I'd bet on Moss, I've heard Rock really, really likes AU if you get what I'm saying

The only one I have heard say anything about Rock to AU is J Lee who has no clue in my opinion and is suspended from posting on the istes he works on.

It appears that way. He seems interested in UA but LSU is doing everything they can to lock him up. He was suppoe to camp at UA during the summer and ended up staying at LSU for the whole week instead. The only way I see him leaving the state is if Miles and Co. are gone. Again just my opinion there.

I can say a lot of things on the internet as well, but it doesn't necessarily make it true.

As for reading, all of these articles, if any of you believe that a lot of these kids words aren't taken out of context to sell subscriptions then I have some magic beans you may want to invest in as well.

You are partially right. Some of the things these kids say are taking out of context but not everything. Its hard to argue against live interviews on camera. It also depends on the source. If your source has proven to be accurate most of the time, more than likely you will ride that source until proven otherwise.

All the media outlets have been saying one team leads (in the case of Henry). That wouldnt sell subscriptions because thats all the info the fans really need. If the media was saying its a close race between 3 or 4 teams, we could use the excuse of trying to sell subscriptions because the fans would want to know what he is saying about each team.

Rock is all Bama and should commit soon if things go as planned. The only thing that could keep him from going there is the depth chart.

I heard on 99.1 today from a guy that went to Henry's last game who was taking his stats and such believed that vol fans would have a lot to be happy about on thursday. This guy, however, was just speculating. He had good reason to believe that henry didn't trust saban, which has been tossed a lot around this forum as well. Did anyone else here this? Was this guy full of it?

Sadly, I have to agree with this. BUt I think we end up with Derrick Green instead, which Rivals has ranked as a higher prospect. Henry is a huge get anyway if it happens.

He may very well end up with Alabama - he really can't go wrong with either program but if I was having to decide - I would pick UT just because of playing time. You are a lock for half the carries as a freshman here and at Alabama - you come in behind a very talented freshman and you know they are going to have 2 or 3 other 5 star studs to compete with every year and that they are going to recruit over you every year.

You really can't go wrong picking UT - whille at Alabama - you may have to watch 2 -3 yrs before getting a lot of pt. You can get to the NFL with either program. No advantage to either school there imo.

I disagree. The guys that have dragged us along before made a huge charade out of their recruitment. I don't think Henry has been like that. I could be wrong in that regard because I haven't heard all the stories about his recruitment.

I would say yes because this is what Henry feel about recruiting according to his coach who happened to come with him this weekend on the visit. Henry has always stated that UA was upfront with him in his recruiting.

“I think he had a real good chance to sit down with T.J. (Yeldon), Chris Black, and Amari (Cooper) and say, ‘look, how is it really here?’ It wasn’t like, ‘hey let’s just have fun because we’re 18 year olds.’ They sat down and straight up told him how it is there.

“I think the directness by which he’s been recruited has always been impressive on their end. I don’t think they’ve sugarcoated anything but I think the thing that he always felt good about was that he got 100% answers from those guys. He said Saban answered every question he had.”

Anyone asking for tweets from a rival fan base to get his numbers up is creating drama. Like it or not.
