I agree with everyone else that Tital Surge is really a class act... I have such a hatred for all things Alabama mostly because I grew up around so many of their fans on the border, but I have nothing but the highest respect for you so please keep contributing to the board
You'd think with all the obvious contempt for BJ on this board that he took your scholly spot to play for the vols... Just don't understand what a 20 year old kid did for so many arm chair qbs to bash him
Well the coach that recruited him obviously saw something in him however he was a redshirt that year so that should certainly not be included in your incredible compilation of statistics proving how horrible of a QB he was... OTOH it would be far easier to prove how unsuccessful the other two...
I now retract my previous post... I don't really care why people were pulling for him it's not my concern. Your point about him not succeeding under 2 HC's and 3 OC's is ridiculous, are you saying that JC and NS did succeed with the opportunities they were given (which were far more in number)?
Kiffin also said the fact that he was playing against the second team D was no different than Crompton playing against the first team D because they had had 2nd and 1st team offenses, respectively, so it was a fair evaluation across the board. Youre the one that said where he was from was the...
That might be the most illegitimate post i've ever read on this board (with the exception of those who frequently get banned). Him being from Chattanooga has nothing to do with people watching him play and hearing his interviews and then making an opinion that he was the best of our three QBs...
Ok say he is only slightly better than a mediocre Crompton (who i'm assuming you have as QB1), we still just lost the best option for this upcoming fall.
I see your point but I wasn't talking about the fans necessarily... I think the players opinions matter greatly and while I think that them being distracted by this is going to do nothing but hurt the team, Its something that needs to be addressed and cannot be simply disregarded
I just don't see how losing a QB that many people saw as a starter and a great asset to the team overall will in any way make the other two qbs better or help the team (at least this upcoming year)... Seems like some people are just glad to not have SO much of a qb controversy even if it means...
Nobody is arguing that he chose to leave, I believe the point was that the majority of the players on the team saw him as their leader and wanted him to have an active roll. Every player I know has said this exact same thing... even Eric Berry said his freshmen year in an interview that BJ was...
I was thinking the same thing as the rest of you guys. He's a great leader and a smart football player. Anyone who watched today and thinks his only talent is public speaking is out of their minds... Also, in that same press conference it was pretty exciting to see how Brandon Warren lit up...
