Blanton's is a great bourbon, game day drinks always depend on the how the season is going and weather. Dools and LK caused me to need liquor and a lot of it.
Not to many great spots to walk from, University Inn is the only one I can think of. Staying downtown (Hyatt/Hilton) will give you options for dinner and drinks. Other than that if you can stay anywhere on Nicholasville or Harrodsburg roads you'll be fine.
Brave the cold and Go Vols!
I live in Lexington as well and truly enjoy attending this game each year. My thoughts:
-loved seeing some leadership from McRae. When Josh missed the FTs McRae was there to tell him to keep his head up. I've felt like this team needs a leader and I honestly didn't think McRae would be it...
I don't remember. I like the overall feel of BT, almost like an old town. Woodford is a great place and would recommend it highly to all those traveling in the area.
Very tough to find in areas that consume bourbon, best advice is to go to stores in areas that wouldn't buy an expensive bourbon.
That said, Woodford Reserve Four Wood is said to be an excellent release
I am the only one that is confused as to we currently "haven't played a good team", or even more disturbing is that in all the recent articles Bray hasn't played a "tough defense"? Am I wrong in that before the NCST game they were a good defense?
Pearl's last game vs. KY, great atmosphere (Houston's # was retired) and a good game. I've been to plenty of games in Rupp since I'm in Lexington. TBA is much nicer than the current Rupp, which is due for an upgrade soon.
I live in Lexoington and currently in Dallas for a wedding and no suprise so were some fellow Vols. Nothing like talking about the Big Orange. Love Destin and it's a great spot for all SEC schools. Enjoy the beach.
