Rivals scores based off your top 20 recruits. So their top 20 were better than our top 20. Those additional signees do not factor into Rivals.
What really matters is did our team meet it's needs. That is where I believe this class falls short...not because it was the 20th ranked class or...
Probably closer to 6 total 4*. The 5 on Rivals and Dobbs makes 6. Really the only thing that matters is we are ranked 10th in SEC. Or 3 biggest rivals have at least 15 4* or better recruits. We didn't make up ground...we only fell further behind.
That is very debatable about Franklin not being near the coach Butch Jones is. Until Jones wins in the SEC I would temper my expectations a little more.
At times, I think our quick-strike offense actually hurt our defense. I don't expect much from the defense, but if our offense can sustain long drives then it will go a long way in my opinion. Goal #1 should be time of possession.
Most people thought Florida was a 7-8 win team coming into last season. They had the toughest schedule last season and only lost one game. If they can do it, so can we! Not saying we win 11 games like they did, but no reason we cannot pull an upset or two.
It would be a much bigger deal if they were losing Brent Peas. Muschamp is the primary DC. The Defense will not change at all. We are turning over almost an entire staff, I would be more worried about UT.
I stand corrected...my eyes must be getting old and the columns of stats were running together. You were right, their winning percentages are higher. It is not really apples to apples with those players like it is with Manning and Brady. I tend to agree that winning percentages don't tell the...
Trent Dilfer went 6-5 (.545)
Joe Theismann went 9-6 (.600)
Jim Plunkett went 10-8 (.555)
How are any of those better than Montana 16-7 (.695) or Brady 17-6 (.739)?
All of them ARE better than Peyton however 9-11 (.450)
Yeah, we have different definitions of a "weapon" on offense. Watson was a solid TE...Gronkowski is a weapon. I was saying Manning has always been surrounded with 1st round talent at skill positions, and he had those players most of their careers. Brady had some good players from time to time...
The grade could be argued, what what he said is true. "He'll need immediate success in the SEC East to win over a skeptical orange fan base." An A or B grade doesn't matter. Success in the next 3 seasons matter.
Hunter to the Vikes would be interesting to go along with AP and Harvin...that is a lot of speed. I could see Baltimore or New England taking Florida's Matt Elam at the end of the 1st round to add another SEC player.
Look at Welker...he was undrafted. Then he was released by the Chargers. He played special teams for the Dolphins for two seasons compiling 29 receptions. He barely made the team the next season, but did record a modest 67 catches. Then the Pats traded for him, and with Brady at QB became an HOF...
I think he only said Moss was a non-factor because he only played one full season with him. That one season was amazing, but over the span of all he has done in his career it is pretty minimal.
For most of Brady's career he has average talent at both WR and RB, but he slices defenses to...
