I’m sure you’re correct on both of those. That don’t mean it is what should happen. I’m glad tn won. I’m happy that we won’t get into trouble, I also hope these super young professional athletes don’t get into trouble either. I also hope those of you that don’t want to hear from us oldtimers...
Never said it was. Also said most not all. But if you think the majority of 18-20 year olds are financially or in any way responsible good decision makers then you are probably their age and never have had kids. I also said it was what I thought, not rule, so stop being offended. Don’t like it...
Ridiculous statement. Not saying we should control the amount of money people make. I am stating that young people are more apt to make bad choices otherwise there would be no need to parent them into their mid 20s nowadays. We could just let them discover whatever once they were eating on their...
Major capitalists supporter however I don’t think 17-18 year old kids need that kind of money given to them especially if they are coming from not having any money. Some will do fine and probably help their families out of financial woes and maybe be decently responsible with it. Most will not...
If all the great athletes played for nfl jr, that wouldn’t be an issue. We could have college students playing the game they love for the school they love. I wish they could just go straight to making money and being pro athletes. Leave the colleges with the students. If the talent is all coming...
As far as penalizing players for being talented or valuable, I’m not for it. Make all you can while you can. I think everyone should. However, I wish they would just make a nfl minor league and let all these genetic lottery winners go there and play. I’ll watch less talented loyal to school...
Not one professional organized sport has no limit on pay. It is financially impossible to be able to maintain a wide open non regulated market.
Don’t penalize the player, penalize the state funded school. Let the player make as much as wants and can, just limit how much the organization can...
You can’t regulate how much someone is capable of earning, however you can regulate who can play. The monetary limits could be placed on the schools as to how much someone can make and still play. If they don’t play on the field their value goes down.
Kind of agree. But I blame the nfl, not the schools. I also don’t see how if a school makes tons of money, how is that any business of the athlete. If I decide to work for someone, their money has no bearing on my compensation. Only unions do the profits of the corporation have any type of...
I agree. Not saying that I want ut to not pay nil while alabama does. I would like all college schools to not pay. Let the pro teams take who they want, put them in a developmental league and leave the college players alone. Then the superstar athletes could get paid development, not worry about...
Actually history says differently. Future not so much. You can say things happened but only a few circumstances show different. History says nobody was paid without major circumstances. Your claim is not backed by historical data.
I would still rather watch a team of Volunteers than a team of...
