'12 GA RB Mike Davis (USCe commit)

He's looking for the best way to screw with UF. Clemson is interesting to him because of his brother, but he wants his own legacy. Bama offer may be a long shot. They have Drake and Taylor committed this year, with Hart(FR), Calloway(FR), Howell(JR), Tinker(SO) and Lacy(SO) all fighting for carries next year behind Richardson. UF is done. UGa has Marshall committed, Crowell(FR), Samuel(JR), and just came to the party too late. How you going to approach an instate recruit that just de-committed and say, Oh, I just watched your film and I want to offer you now. Please, he's not buying that one either. FSU has Pender committed, Freeman (FR), Smiley(JR), Thompson(JR), Pryor(JR), Beverly(FR), Wilder(FR). Clemson has Bellamy(FR), Howard(FR), Bruice(FR), Ellington(JR), McDowell(SO). They took 3 last year. None committed this year. Clemson is too crowded. We have Hill & Watson committed. Lane(FR), Smith(FR), Toney(SO). With that said, it does look good for us.

Except Tinker and Howell will never see the field. They are both walkons and are on the scout squad at best. So that leaves Lacy and Hart returning from knee surgery as the top 2 RBs. Calloway will be playing defense next season. Drake is solid but Taylor just had season ending surgery on the knee and will be redshirted next season. So out of the group you just mentioned we have only Lacy returning with any game experience, and Hart recovering from knee surgery and true freshman Drake. Sorry but if Davis, Shell, or Yeldon comes to UA they will see the field as true freshman next year.

TW while your story looks credible your stretching just a bit. First, Davis has to actually be interested and nothing says he is right now.

From one of our paysites and there are many more if you need some more quotes

-Mike Davis contacted UA about having interest but it will likely depend on Yeldon. AU visited Yeldon yesterday & UA is doing so today. Bama has a good shot with Yeldon but I just can’t offer confidence in this situation.

Since this came out today BTW this evening alot of smoke going around about Yeldon possibly switching by Monday to UA. If so UA will be out of the Davis sweepstakes. Still think Yeldon is a longshot but the staff have stayed on him.

I would think that he would stick around til they hire a new oc and go from there

UA gets Yeldon UT gets Davis and we will call it a day.

He says Tennessee, USCe, and Clemson recruiting him the hardest.

Probably true, but again UA basically told him he would have to wait to see how something else plays out.

All 3 of those schools need a RB in this class. Lattimore will go pro after next year. Clemson just got rid of Bellamy and UT definitely use another solid back.

"At this stage, the running back position comes down to two names. Former Florida Gator commitment Mike Davis and Barry Sanders. We hear Sanders would be an absolute take, but with Davis there is a little more uncertainty. But we also hear there is a lot more interest from both sides when it comes to Davis. Sanders has already visited FSU a few times, but Davis has not and we're told to not be surprised if he takes a trip late in the recruiting process instead of in December, which was previously planned. If FSU misses on Sanders, barring a change of recruiting strategy with Davis, the Seminoles will hold all their cards for the 2013 class, which has a lot of strong options." WC

FSU is going to miss out on both of those guys. Everything I have heard regarding Sanders is Stanford all the way right now. Actually I have not seen an interview in the past month with Sanders that mentions FSU in his top group.

Every co-ed comes to class in a bikini at FSU, so it's a very attractive place for recruits. Haven't you heard?
