Recruiting Football Talk VII

What about their music do you find so wonderful? What did they do so different from thousands of other bands at the time? I feel like they were properly promoted and marketed. Other than that they were very similar to so many other bands that came in went as one hit wonders during that time.
What they did, unlike those that came and went, was keep producing more popular music that was evolving from simplistic “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” to “Eleanor Rigby” and others I can’t think of at the moment.

I never liked Elvis either
Cone to think of it, nothing from the rock roll infancy in 50-mid 60s appeals to me. Would rather listen to early blues guitarists..they started it all and Zep stole a ton of it.
There's Elvis the singer and there's Elvis the actor. Now, when we talk about Elvis movies, we're talkin' epic stuff.

The lowest point for me was the Missouri game. That team flat out quit and tried to lose.
It was hell

Sitting in the stands that day as he just let the clock run out on the plus side of the field or whatever it was. There was plenty of time too. Whole stadium booing.

Hated that guy man.

According to KNS.

  • McCallan Castles, TE, Philadelphia Eagles
  • Ramel Keyton, WR, Las Vegas Raiders
  • Jacob Warren, TE, New England Patriots
  • Dee Williams, return specialist, Seattle Seahawks
  • Jaylen McCollough, DB, Los Angeles Rams
  • Jeremiah Crawford, OL, Carolina Panthers
  • Gabe Jeudy-Lally, DB, Tennessee Titans
  • Aaron Beasley, LB, Seattle Seahawks

Gotcha....the Nickleback gave it away. You were doing so well, too

I didn’t pick up on it, but it makes a little more sense now.
When someone starts talking about how good Nickleback is, they're trolling. He should have said Creed, Coldplay, or Bon Jovi. Rookie mistake on @Devo182 's part

Yardbirds, Stones, hell definitely Warlocks all had a better sound. Like Elvis over Chuck Berry & Jonny Cash. It was marketing. Granted Elvis was quite talented, and is the King.

These Warlocks, not the ****** 90's grunge band.

That's being complimentary. To call it music.

It was originally devised by the UK government to be sleepy-time music for tots.
I heard they hid secret communist messages inbedded in their songs and that is why so many people in that generation are worthless commie hippies.

Just heard that too lol. Home runs are on pace to surpass the gorilla ball era record set in 1998 this year. The balls are juiced, not the bats.
That 1997 Geuxrilla Ball team hit:
188 HR in 70 games - 2.68 per/game

The 2022 BaseVols team smashed:
158 HR in 66 games - 2.39 per/game

The 2024 BaseVols team currently:
121 HR in 43 games - 2.81 per/game

We are smoking baseballs at a historic pace.
