2018 Midterm Election Thread

How are your medical bills stacking up? I really hope you don't have any that you have to pay out of pocket. Just curious since medical cost are still a problem and have been for 20 years.

Do you have a solution that doesn’t dump all the freeloaders?

Is this an issue for you in this election?
Healthcare? Yes. Healthcare is a big issue for me. My premiums have skyrocketed and I've had to take a worse plan for higher premiums, even with company provided group plan.

Are you claiming that healthcare will be the message? I'll look forward to discussing that with you. But first, I'll be forced to hit the pause button, as you've shown a propensity to ignore discussion topics and change the subject as opposed to answering questions. I won't let you do that.

The post you ignored was the one asking you to defend your claim that Republicans have no message for the elections. As much as I appreciate your concern for my healthcare and its costs, I must insists we stay on topic before you change to another. Otherwise, we're done.

Thanks.

Just a statement based on all the But Dems rhetoric I see posted ad nauseam. If you want to argue that it's not there, be my guest.

Now the issues for me: Healthcare, education, border security (not a wall), Judicial and prison reform, and cyber security. Those are the big ones with cyber security as the only one that was added since the last election.

So, the answer is that you were talking out of your ___ and the Republicans actually have a message for the elections?

From the political ads I've seen their message is pro-Trump and anti-democrat. They really don't need much of a message other than that do they? I get to see all the Tennessee ads on here, and you have seen the same, so do you have something to add to their message?

The assumption that every Latino sides with the moonbats is totally unfounded and in fact ludicrous. They would also be shocked to hear what a large number of citizen Latinos think about illegal immigration.
Oh you'd be surprised what I've heard them think out loud, It's not kind.

Their message encompasses all of the above, basically. If their slogan was "more of the same", it's a message, and good one since the major things that people care about have improved dramatically since Trump took over. That's why Obama's message is the lie that he built it.

The good position that the Republicans are in is that his positive message about the party also simultaneously robs the Dems of an ability to run on any actual platforms. Trump has improved almost everything and left Obama's policy almost completely intact on healthcare.

What is the Dem's message on healthcare going to be? That it sucks? Well, we still have the solution that Democrats shoved down the nation's throat, and it sucks worse than it did before. I am still very angry at the Republicans for not dismantling Obamacare, but politically, it was a stroke of genius not to. They've improved pretty much every other area that the country cares about, and left the bad Democrat solution in place, which effectively silences Dems on the subject whether they know it or not.

Why do you think you don't hear a huge healthcare message from the left right now?

I'm not going to argue with you over this. My only interest is what are the issues with you? If you just want to argue d's and r's, then have a good day.

That's very interesting. You were arguing Ds VS Rs when I happened into the conversation. As a matter of fact, it was literally a conversation about the D's message VS the R's message, which is the exact discussion I'm trying to have now.

Odd. Really odd, but by all means, you can't be forced into any conversation you don't want to have.

Good day to you as well, I guess.

I made the statement that the D's don't have a message and the R's just want to blame the D's. You want to make a big FN deal about the latter. That is what it is and completely ruined my attempts to have a civil conversation with you about what issues are important to you personally. That is how I engaged you but you just want to argue something that is not important at all.

What are you talking about "not important"? This was the entire conversation you were having with GV. You guys were arguing the platform that each party had and the message from each. I understand you wanting to change the subject after how it went, but don't act like I started harping on a rabbit trail. That's just dishonest.

You ever notice that is exactly what you do and the people you do it to have to go back and point it out to you. I'm not going to do that this time. Do it yourself. Mountain out of a molehill is what you do best. Climb that molehill little man.

Sure thing, Mick. I went back and reread you posts with GV, by the way.

Spending, deficits, debt not an issue?

I would say the opposite. The informed voter has seen the leadership of the Dem party, all of whom are certifiable liars and whack jobs, do nothing but act like a bunch of mentally challenged high school girls. The party has been taken over by the dumbest of your constituency, and the following of the new age youth socialist has taken front stage.

The party literally took the one thing that makes America great and said rights don't matter and innocent until proven guilty doesn't exist. Anyone who follows that belief, and that party, well, makes me wonder what type of individual the followers of the party are in real life.

Now do the Republican party.

Other than "NO TRUMP!" what message does the DNC have for November?

A better deal? Okay, what deal is that?

Getting the crumbs? Okay, show me their tax plan that improves on the tax cuts while being spending neutral.

"Better jobs, better wages, better future?" Kinda hard to argue with the current results. Show me the plan they will use to improve on what's happened so far.

Campaign finance reform? Oh, they really don't want to go down this rabbit hole when their 2016 candidate raised over $1 billion.

By all means, tell me how the Democratic Party will save us all.

Here's where the conversation started, @Mick. I did the Republican party, held you accountable to your claims, and now you claim I'm climbing molehills on a rabbit trail.

You may need professional help.
