Coaching search...AD promises the world. We hire an up and coming "rising star". It is beaten into us the new coach has a good pedigree or coached under a great coach. Great recruiter, players love him. He wants to be here and that's what is important.

Then the wins don't come, recruiting busts, player issues abound, and the dumpster fire reignites.

Then, we do it all over again.

Why can't guys like you just accept this is our coach? As said above, we've never had a guy come in with a proven ability to coach championship winning defenses. Are guys like you ever happy with anything?

You're speaking from emotion rather than football knowledge. Pruitt is a great hire. He's earned his spot by working hard and succeeding at the highest level in multiple high profile programs.

Majors = previous head coaching experience, 57% winning % in 29 seasons
Fulmer = no previous head coaching experience, 74% winning % in 17 seasons
Kiffin = previous head coaching experience, 65% winning % in 6 seasons
Dooley = previous head coaching experience, 43% winning % in 6 seasons
Jones = previous head coaching experience, 60% winning % in 11 seasons

Anything about that list stand out to you?

Weve never hired a HC with the resume half as good as Pruitt

What??? Butch Jones won Championships as a head coach and we see where that resume got us.

Pruitt has NEVER been a HC. And he's a ****ing gump on top of it.

That guy will NEVER put his heart and soul into this program no matter how much he's paid.

I saw the thread title and thought the subject was the Negavols rather than the coaches.

It's fine. Let the coach worshippers have their fun while they can. This guy may be a good coach, but he has an uphill battle...Mt Everest in shorts and a T-shirt. Enjoy the next 3 years or "rebuilding" and irrelevance.

You obviously don't understand how a real competitor thinks.
