Who is Nationdom and why did he venture away from whichever forum he made 2,000 posts in?

Honestly, if we want to compare a sports organization to socialism/communism/authoritarianism, why wouldn't the NCAA be the first one brought up?

The lowly "pay" to laborers is kind of like rationing, programs for sports that don't generate revenue still get scholarships, the appointed officials get rich taking advantage of labor, etc.

I'm still waiting on a single similarity between socialism and the NFL but you bring up a good point with the NCAA

One interesting thing about the NFL is that their labor union's primary purpose is to push for a free market for players to deal with teams in. Odd behavior for most labor unions.

The idea of having 7-9 or 8-8 teams make the playoffs and given the same opportunity that a 15-1or 12-4 team gets. The commissioner(Goodel) rules with an iron fist like a dictator. There is a ridiculous amount of fines(like taxing people)(many regulations) those are a few examples.

taxation =/= socialism
rewarding mediocrity =/= socialism

you're confusing symptoms with the illness

No, allowing more teams into the playoffs is an effort to make more money by the League. And it is working. It has nothing to do with fairness or Socialism.

And that money is then distributed evenly to all 32 teams. That Ron, is socialism.
