Jeremy CashPlantation, FL- Many south Florida prospects continue to add offers to their resume. One such recruit that has really set the trail on fire is Plantation High star Jeremy Cash. He has been taking in some visits and camps already in the early going and has caught the attention of many college coaches along the way. At 6’1″ 185 lbs this young man has great size and speed to man the safety position. Currently he is up to 12 offers and continues to add them weekly. Here’s the latest with his recruitment.

“Yeah I did pretty good at the camp I went to. I let some stuff get to me early, so I could have done better. But when it got to one on ones I could not be stopped. I had some good conversations with a few other recruits there, the combine went well.”

Jeremy originally planned to attend one of FSU’s junior days but his plans fell through. However he noted some plans to make a visit in the spring.

“I went out of town on that weekend so I couldn’t make it. I told them I’d be up there for spring practices though, so I’ll check it out. FSU in under a big transition with all of the coaches up there. I think they are headed to get better. I’m very interested in them at this point, but I have no favorites, actually every school that offers me is my favorite.”

At this point that means that Cash has 12 favorites. Those schools to offer are: North Carolina, South Carolina, Stanford, Miami, FSU, USF, Colorado, Nebraska, Ohio State, Tennessee, Louisville, and Connecticut. He shared a little bit about what he is looking for in a school.

“Coaching stability will be big with me. I want a good relationship with my position coach. It’s real hard to transition to a new coach. I want a place that I can play and become a great person and athlete. I might have a surprise for everyone and make a early decision, we’ll see.”

Tennessee has jumped in with an offer for Cash. However it was under the old staff, and he claims he has not heard from the new coaches just yet.

“No, I haven’t spoken to the new staff. They still send me letters, I just haven’t spoken to anyone. I would say I have pretty solid interest there. My brother runs track at Eastern Tennessee state, so we could be pretty close to each other if I ended up there.”

Jeremy claims he is open to anyone who wants to recruit him. Miami being the hometown school does have his interest, but also claims he would like to hear more from Oregon. He gets letters from them frequently, however doesn’t hold an offer.

He broke down his game a little bit, and explained what he thinks of the early offers.

“I think schools like my combination of physical ability and performance. I am also a good student in the class room. There is life after football and I want to be prepared. I also want to get better at my vision and at reading the quarterback’s eyes. I’m still open to everyone, I am grateful for all the early offers, and I’m just going to play with the cards I’m dealt.”

Jeremy is a candidate for early graduation.

I’m not a recruiter by no means but I’d be droolin right now. This kid shows a knack of finding the ball and tackels well. Covers the field well and has good closing speed. Reminds me of a guy that Tn will miss a lot of this year, yeah ya’ll know who I’m talkin about lol. Coach Dooley, please contact this kid and lock him down!

GO VOLS!!!
