Butch Jones revealed on Vol Calls Wednesday night that Tennessee may wear the Smokey Gray uniforms again this season — maybe more than once.

“We’re looking into that,” Jones said of the possibility. “You could see the emergence of the Smokey Grays a couple more times this year. I think our fans loved it, our players loved it, and our perspective student athletes with recruiting loved it.”

“I think it’s been the talk of the country and I think it’s a great symbolism of the great state of Tennessee with our mountains in the Smokey Mountains,” Jones said.

“Obviously very partial to the white helmets and the orange and all that, but you could see them being used again.”[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
