On their 18th birthday, Evan and Elliott Berry decided to give Butch Jones and Tennessee fans a present when the brothers pledged their commitment to the Volunteers on Monday.

Evan Berry measures 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds and is rated a 4-star prospect at cornerback by Rivals.com

Elliott Berry, listed at 6-foot and 200 pounds, is considered a 3-star athlete by Rivals.

The Berry brothers will follow their father James Berry, who played at Tennessee from 1978-81, and their older brother Eric (2007-2009), who currently plays for the Kansas City Chiefs.

“I’m very excited,” Evan Berry told Rivals.com($). “To decide now was the right time. Lots of coaches are already thinking that we are signed, sealed and delivered to Tennessee. Eric told us that we would know when the time came and it’s here.”

Today’s news is yet another example of recruits believing in what Butch Jones is building at Tennessee, despite back-to-back blowout losses to Alabama and Missouri.

The duo had offers from schools such as Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Missouri and South Carolina, among others.

With Tennessee and Kameel Jackson parting ways yesterday, this brings the total number of commits in the 2014 class to 29.

Evan Berry ESPN Evaluation

Berry is an upside guy on defense with more definitive offensive traits now due to experience. Solid prospect with some exciting traits that will garner BCS interest. We need to further investigate defensive reps and production as the bulk of his game comes on offense.

Elliott Berry ESPN Evaluation

Berry is a tough customer regardless of which side of the ball he ends up playing on. Should also be an effective special teams player at a variety of positions. A developmental prospect who needs some time and most likely a redshirt year to grow physically while learning to play from a two-point stance.
