Eric Berry makes Rivals All-Time Five-Stars

Former Vol Eric Berry ranked No. 15 on Rivals All-Time Five-Star list.

From the article, Berry starred at both quarterback and defensive back for Creekside High School in Georgia, earning Army All-American honors while leading his team to a 37-5 record. With offers from nearly every major college program, he chose Tennessee.

He was twice named SEC Defensive Player of the Year, a two-time unanimous All-American, and the winner of the 2009 Jim Thorpe Award.

His NFL career — all nine seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs — saw Berry earn five Pro Bowl selections and Comeback Player of the Year honors in 2015 after bravely battling cancer. His heart, leadership, and elite play made him not just a Vol legend, but a football icon.
