Like other folks and schools across the country, I was puzzled about Akron's team name. I imagined lots of stuff. Some exhibitionist guy standing on a corner threatening to unzip his trousers. A dress made of 100% zippers. A bullet whizzing through the air, you name it. So I decided to just go to an Akron site and have them tell me what Zips are. Weird tale, it's a roo, sort of, almost made me rue the day I asked. Source: Why is Akron called the Zips

There was no greater flex than to be in Kindergarten and bend over to pull your lunch money out of these bad boys.

I always assumed it was the amount they expected to score in the game. (true story bro!)

First impression: This article was either written by an algorithm, or by someone whose first language isn’t English.

So is there a parallel story here with the University of Southern California?:)

So you hate second language English speakers?

No, quite the contrary actually. Neither do I hate “artificial intelligence” algorithms.

The point I tried to make was that the text of the article was odd, repetitive, and oddly repetitive. In my experience, that also occurs in text authored by AI as well as by people who are still earnestly trying to make sure their point comes across in a new language.

Got it. But you know, some folks can only do the best they can with what they got. Further, some don't have much, still, it's nice they try, or just make the best of a bad situation.
