He is being compared to Wes Welker. Welker was a walk on at Texas Tech. Does Zach Rogers get drafted or free agent? He will make an NFL roster. Can Zach return punts?

Only time will tell. Don't know if he's done enough to make an NFL roster. Although his improvement this year had been huge! I wish him the best.

He has everything NFL scouts look for such as a high motor, a lot of heart, and living in the film room. Unfortunately, Zach lacks qualities such as quick-twitch.

i like to think of zach as the football teams version of dane bradshaw. hes not the most physically gifted guy out there but by grit and determination he gets the job done and is a good lead by example and hustle type player. also seems to be a great kid and i hope he gets on with an nfl club. i doubt hes drafted unless he posts some insane combine stats but hopefully he at least makes it on a squad and gets a chance to perform at the next level.

That's not a great comparison being welker is a system WR. He will get a free agent deal he hasn't done much besides the NC State USC game. He also lacks the strength the Weljer has someone may take a bet on him I don't see why not.

There is more to punt returning than catch and run. Mark Jones is the last good punt returner I can remember(2003). Devrin is the only good punt returner we have had since that time. However, I am not a fan of Devrin playing RB. I hope he takes Zach's spot in the slot next year and we have Neal, Lane and Green. That is a formidable trio , no matter who is playing QB.

If Zach has a good combine I wouldn't be surprised to see him get drafted. He has always been a practice king he just couldn't catch a cold in a game, until this year. He has excellent speed, good size, and runs good routes. If he can manage to keep catching the ball he could really be coached up on the next level. I expect him to get drafted late, but at the least he will get picked up as an undrafted free agent.

Brays quotes today indicated he will be back for his senior year.

I just read that. I certainly hope so. No offense to Worley. Bray needs another year and he can play his way back into the first round. His family has money. Stranger things have happened. Bray, CP, Hunter all need to come back and win some big games

He is getting a shot, he is turning in to that slot guy everybody wants, plus he is fairly tall too.

Great comparison, and my sentiments exactly. In an otherwise dismal football season, his performance been one of the very few bright spots.

Zach has NFL measurables and is having a damn fine senior campaign. In truth, I don't think Bray targets him enough. Like Montario, sometimes you just have to work and be patient, become a senior and make it happen.

Fear the forehead!
