Zac Efron is Ted Bundy "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile"

The first half of the movie didn’t flow together very well. I understand they wanted to leap back and forth through Bundy’s final years to cover a lot of ground at the start, but the film as a whole would have benefited from another 45 minutes or so detailing his and Liz’s relationship, as well as the crimes he committed.

I still found it to be an interesting watch, and Efron did an excellent job, but it could have been so much better than it was.

I haven't seen this, but I like Efron as an actor.

Really worried anyone who doesn’t know the Buddy story - and this is the introduction to it - will leave this thinking there is some doubt about his guilt.

The whole thing basically romanticizes him and his relationships.

Really? I didn’t get that at all and know a good bit about it all. It’s just missing so so so much of his story and background. It’s a **** movie.

Didn’t think it was good either - but the first 95% goes along with the idea that he’s being unfairly accused - then they do a fair job of explaining all the heinous crimes he committed.

I had high hopes for this when I heard about it and it didn’t live up to it at all. Thought Efron did well as Bundy but the storyline was f’d up to me.

I can see it. Women did back then did. I can only imagine it'll be worse with Zach Efron playing the role.

You have to show his crimes. His case is from the 70s..they missed big. It makes sense why Netflix got the rights and it didn’t go to theatre.

I definitely expected more about his crimes, but they didn't show anything. It should have been rated PG IMO.
Yeah it was weird. I think he wanted to show it through the GFs eyes. They didn’t even mention his college GF who debatably made him target the girls he did.

5/10. So much left out. You would have to know a good amount about all this to follow the story
Aw, really? I was really looking forward to this. I mean, I know a ton about the Bundy story (probably more than is healthy) but I really wanted this to be good. Guess I'll wait for Redbox then.

I'll watch it tomorrow. If you had given it a thumbs up, I'd be excited. Now I'm just gripped with trepidation and seemingly unwarranted hope. We'll see.
😂 worth a watch. I’ll watch basically anything on serial killers. Reading the stranger beside me right now. Also follow r/serialkillers which has some good info if you’re into it.

Never followed a reddit thread but yeah I've read countless books on serial killers. I'll check it out. Ted Bundy is great because of the vast amount of info on him. Jack the Ripper is my favorite because I think it's the least likely to be solved. Smallest amount of evidence.

I will say this: one of 3 things happened with that f***ed up character. 1.) Moved away... 2.) Imprisoned for another crime... 3.) Died suddenly.

No one progresses that fast and then just stops cold turkey. It just doesn't happen. Had to have some anatomical knowledge to do all of that in near darkness as well. Some sort of butcher, medical charlatan or medical student would be my guess. Of course Whitechapel is by the docks, so some sort of sailor is an option. Maybe a sadistic ship doctor. Who knows? It's fun to speculate.
