Dayum, ocd. That’s no fun. 😉🤙🏼🧡
I know, I know! Everybody else can predict away, but I don‘t even know where to start yet to even try. I have resisted obsessively watching clip after clip after clip of our players at their previous schools, so I don’t have a very good feel for potential except for maybe a couple players. I think it may actually be adding to my excitement about the upcoming season to NOT know very much.

We just have to hope folks around here are right when they say height is greatly overrated and heart and hustle and lots of hard work will make up any such discrepancy.

Counterintuitive and plain old dumb as that sounds, we have to pray they’re right.
I think the presumption is that if we're shooting lots of 3s, then most rebounds will be gathered away from the basket. Under those conditions, offensive players do better to position outside-in and pin opposing bigs against the basket. If our other players seal off outside defenders the normal way, we put all our players (except the shooter) in position to grab those long rebounds.

But as Dennis Rodman famously said of the art & science of rebounding, "I'm hungrier than those other guys out there. Every rebound is a personal challenge."

Yes I realize that's the presumption. Comes from the same place as the presumption that trapping elite guards in the back court in hopes of creating a turnover won't result in repeated open layups for the opposition.

It assumes our coaches have discovered a secret system which defies basketball common sense and which no other coach Is smart enough or works hard enough to benefit from.

We're about to find out whether that's true, or whether that's true hubris. Should be interesting
