Your favorite "assembling a team" movies (a good time to relax for awhile)

The Wire, Season 1. Because the individuals were mostly outcasts and overlooked, but together their specific skills forged the perfect team

The Ladykillers. Because they're all incredibly funny

101 Dalmations. Because dogs are cute.

Star Wars, A New Hope. Because it kicked off a new era of cinema

The Great Escape. Because it takes a village sometimes to defeat The Man.

The Fellowship of the Ring. Because it's awesome.

The Escapist (2008). Because desperation forms bonds among unlikely bedfellows.

The Full Monty. Because it gives hope. (Also see Calendar Girls for the same reason).

NOT as a vain attempt to "course-correct" the thread...

but just to distinguish between the LV task accomplished and the LV task that awaits:

Good movies always reflect the deeper truths of human experience. Some of the movies y'all have cited (Thanks!) are about forming a team from scratch (recruiting who or what skills you need), while others are about taking an existing but disparate group of individuals and bonding them into a winning team.

Task One: ✔️Assembled.

Task Two: 🔲 The staff has 6-8 months...
