After looking at both highlights, my money is on young. Not because kimbro chose vandy, but because young has more speed and talent (just needs a few more lbs. but that will come soon) thoughts?...I will hang up and listen

I agree. Devrin Young and also Jaron Toney (preferred walk on from Alcoa) are 2 similar type backs UT has and right now those 2 probably are the reason UT didn't pursue Kimbrow as hard at least not yet.

I highly doubt Jaron Toney played into any decision towards Kimbrow.

Huh. Is it just me or has volnation shifted from thinking DY didn't deserve a roster spot to now thinking he is destined for greatness.

I think Jaron Toney is a pretty good Back. He tore up the scout team last year. He set a state record for TDs at Alcoa. He is a good player and will contribute at some point.

What? We've been wanting him as a starting returner when our guys couldn't field a punt halfway through last season.

Don't actually put any money on it.

Kimbrow said the reason he didn't pick Tennessee was UT fans didn't like him. Does anybody no what the hell he is talking about?

Kimbro was on the 3 hour lunch today on 104.5. He said he ran a 4.24-40 in front of Blain Bishop, michael Griffen and Derick Mason. Kimbro said bring on Chris Johnson. I thought BS, but the kid has confidence. If he really that fast .... Good luck! They were at D-1....

I'd say its a toss up but young has more potential here because we have a offensive line thats shaping up to be solid. Kimbro might get injured with a line like Vandy's (or ours at the beginning of last year)

They are actually really diffrent. Toney will run you over. Devrin.....well I watched him jump over a dude from my high school in a game.

Both of Vandys top RB's did not make it through last season. I agree...

Didn't the handler leak out Kimbrow's decision for Vandy several days ago? After that got around, nobody here thanked him.

Not saying Young is better by any means but as far as stats go, Kimbrow has about 2" and 5 lbs on Young. As far as 40 time I think as a HS SR Young was 4.4's and Ive heard Kimbrow is 4.3's so its not overwhelming. I think the difference is overall skill level.

I don't think that either would see much playing time here for a couple years except for special teams but I could be wrong
