For these guys to contribute this much already is huge! They make us a deeper more dangerous team.

I was encouraged from what I saw from a physical perspective from the young guys on defense. Josephs made some plays and will get bigger, but looks like he'll contribute. I saw James Pierce drop in coverage a time or two, he's extremely fluid - doesn't move like he's 6'5 240. Kalib Perry looks NFL size already. I thought he was the sleeper of last year's class. West & Herring can spell some guys this year, and look like they have SEC bodies that will hold up in the future.

I couldn’t tell if it was the young guys or not, but we seemed to be missing some open field tackling. That’s to be expected in the first game but has to be cleaned up. I’m sure it will show on the film. Or, at Pitt 😩

Hyp's post game comment was they did a lot of things well but there was a lot to clean up. You know that will be a focus.

Pearce i believe is about 225 maybe? Came here at 200. But your point is well taken. He moves like a DB almost at 6"6 225.

Joseph is further along but both guys will make an impact this season. Thank goodness because we need BOTH in 2023.

Perry is a good looking athlete, but I did see him miss two open field tackles. Not sure his downhill mentality is there yet.
Herring looks good out there! That 2022 class has a lot of food players
