I honestly thought I had read the quote wrong initially. Let that sink in for a second.

Holy @#$#. You want a reality check of how far down we have fallen, and still are, that right there sums it up. And he'll come to Neyland next year, and more than likely ***** slap Butch again.

If Muschamp's comments about sending the fans home quiet last year was a coach tweaking the fan base, this is a coach putting balls on chin.

Being a Vols fan is a unique level of torture. Like being a Browns or Raiders fan.

Tennessee football is a joke man.. We are the laughing stock and the joke of CFB.. All my Ole Miss buddies, Memphis buddies all of the other schools are laughing their asses off at Tennessee. I'm quite embarrassed and all I can do now is agree with them.. It's quite sad

We are stuck with Jones til at least 2017. He has to know his shtick is wearing thin. It's awful knowing that we can't close out games against big schools. He should apologize for his poor coaching and re-evaluate his methods and his staff. Watching the rest of this season is going to be painful if he doesn't change what he does during the games.

Butch sucked tonight just like he did against Oklahoma. He needs a reality check, but I doubt it happens because he believes his own bull!@#$.

Well realistically it's "Deep down Tennessee just doesn't let you lose to them" but still a first year SEC head coach just trolled us and we can't do crap about it. Oh well there's always next year..

Very reminiscent of "Tennessee always kicks the s&$t out of Vanderbilt" except we are Candy or Kentucky.

This. I follow a guy I went to HS with on Twitter. He trolls UT a lot, and I've always stood my ground.

He made a tweet saying that we always have next year, or the year after that, etc.

I just told him I'm beginning to think never. Just flat out sucks

He just said what Dooley said about us beating Vandy, except there wasn't a need to leak a video or a locker room celebration lol. He simply straight out told a reporter that "you just don't lose to Tennessee" lol. I mean, a part of me has to admire someone that is ballsy enough to basically say "Butch, you are my ****, and I'll come up to Knoxville next year to remind you of that fact". Crazy.

Yep. Someone needs to make a major peace treaty with Phil. I follow a lot of college football and I'm not just saying this because I'm a fan but I can't think of another established program with our history who has had so many crazy and whack job heartbreaking defeats. I mean, you couldn't write a fiction novel about this stuff if you tried.

That's what helped take the sting off of this loss. I just knew we were gonna give it away. Especially after the 4th and 14 TD. Should have just turned off the tv.

I had that feeling on the fumble when we were up 20-7 with the ball, and again when we kicked the PAT at 26-14, and again when they converted 4th and 8 to reach the 5.

I know bro I'm at work watching telling the guys here it comes again esp after three straight runs up the middle just to run time off the clock... I called it and if I called it the Gators Defense coaches called it and knew what he was gonna do.. Worst play calling in the 4th quarter I have ever seen..

Saw an interesting stat also we are 44-2 when leading by 13 or more you know who holds those two losses? In over 100 years of football that stood undefeated till this yr... Think bout that for a min..

Yep in FBS this season so far I think the record is 188-3 for teams leading by 13 or more midway through the 4th quarter and we own 2 of those losses. It just sucks. When does basketball start?
