Bama's not going to be good forever...

However, I actually agree that permanent cross-division rivalry games need to be done away with. Now that there are 7 teams in each division, both crossover games should be rotated IMO. As traditional as our rivalry is with Bama, I'd still like a crack at an Auburn or LSU more than once a decade. And yes, it would also be nice to catch a break every once in a while too (think a Miss St. and a down Arkansas being our SECW games).

To me, this is more of a conference issue than a school issue.

No that takes a few years. I guess you don't think we are better than a couple years ago. I'm an old timer and I believe we should play Alabama every year and hopefully twice this year.

You guys have a better shot against LSU than Ark imo. But be real. Both are uphill battles. Just aren't on the same level right now. And yeah. We will see. Don't sleep on UGA either. Yes they lost to Vandy, but you guys struggled against Vandy as well. If Eason gets got, he can torch that overrated secondary of the gators.

Bama is cheating to beat the band currently and has all kinds of protection in place to prevent getting busted. Won't change if Kiffy takes the helm. Paul Bryant Jr. will see to it.

The hell you say. Until I get that losing taste out of my mouth, I want to continue to play Bammer. Lose them all, but whip Bammer and the season is a success. That's just the way some of us feel. The hate is visceral and passionate. Some Bammer's tell me they dislike us more than they dislike Auburn. Hope Vol fans never lose that disgust for Bammer.

We lost. Nothing in my home was destroyed and my pets are OK.

I'm fairly certain a few trailer parks outside of Tuscaloosa were elated with the victory and thankful for the limited amount of domestic violence calls reported.

No, I think we are better than we were a couple of years ago. I am also an old timer, and I had always been on board with keeping Bama as an annual game. I guess I still am in a sense as long as the divisional champ is determined by divisional records and the west games would not not factor into it. (I don't think that's a realistic hope though, so that's why I am beginning to support getting rid of the fixed cross-division rival game.)

We'd just have to play them in the SECCG. If you want to win a championship, you've got to beat Bama. Until we are capable of doing that, it makes no difference.

I suspect Kiffin heads for a HC job soon. It very well could be this year before the playoffs even begin.

That said, Kiffin is not the reason Bama is being successful. The talent is the key to their success. Kiffin has proved as USC that he can call bad games with the best of them when the talent is no head and shoulders above the competition. Bama will plug and play the OC and DC as long as Saban stays there and is on top of his game. Saban runs the whole show.
