How NOT to improve your chances in future political races: Attack the State's most powerful, popular and influential sports entity. The only dumber move for Bredessen to make would be to say something negative about Peyton. Believe me, having grown up in Tennessee, perceived lack of support for the big orange can quickly become a political liability.

Bredesen needs to shut his pie hole. He just signed a bill to force the University to waste NINE AND A HALF MILLION DOLLARS to fight music piracy. In an era of layoffs and tuition increases, that's a bigger waste of money than football.

That was a horrible article....but how much can you really expect from Rutherford County's "First News Source"?

Bredesen's always hated the football program. He needs to move up north and support hockey.

"When your neighbor's enduring hard times is not the time to flash your Cadillac in the driveway," Bredesen said.

Uh, governor, if you'll actually bother to look around, you'll see more Cadillacs parked at trailer parks than in front of McMansions in the state of Tennessee. Poor choice of brand.
