It's Vols 10 Gators 7, mid second quarter, ball at our 40 yard line, second and 16. Just gave up a sack....gators have 8 in the box showing blitz. Not only are they getting after Dormady quickly they are also stuffing the run, Kelly has 23 yards on 12 carries. Gators fans are blowin the stadium up with noise. What do you do?

Give the ball to Callaway and let him go to work. Simple enough right?

Put Evan Berry in 50 yards behind the play, bring in Daniels, snap the ball to him.

He turns around around and kicks the ball the Evan to simulate a kick off the best way possible then BOOM!

Touchdown Evan Berry, Vols up 17-7.

They never saw it coming.

Probably a screen to Kelly, or throw a WR screen to Calloway and let him work in space. That would require good blocking from receivers, so probably out of a Trips or 2x2 look. I'd try to get a third and manageable.

It's a trick question. A great coach would take what the defense gives them. There's a ton of game left at that point. The fact that we're up by three is irrelevant at that point in the game. A great coach would attack. If the defense loads the box to stop the run, they'd throw the ball down the field. Every time until the defense adjusts. But it's a trick question because you said "you are butch". We've all seen enough of butch to know exactly what he'll do. He'll run into that box. And punt. He'll be content to give up possessions and play it safe. It sucks that we have a guy with that mentality at the helm. But what can we do as fans? I'll always root for us to win. I just know we'll never win big with that guy.
I hate the way these decisions are made. We hired a guy that had been fired from his last ad job, and basically just said go make this hundred million plus a year decision. And he made a cowardly decision. It was a safe, cowardly decision to go get an average coach from a small conference. It's the safe play because that coach doesn't cost 6 million a year plus. You get that guy for just under 4. The gutsy decision was to gather up all the boosters and get the most money he could come up with, and throw it all at the biggest name out there. That's what bama did, that's what Ohio state did, that's what Michigan did. Those programs have given us a blue print for hiring a coach. But we did the safe thing. Hurray. Safe

Call screens until one burns them badly. Saw Belichick do this, called several in a row until one went for a big play. The opposing team backed off the blitz. The patriots ended up winning the game.
