Our defense has been absolutely destroyed by injuries
Yet despite 7 turnovers against A&M, our defense was able to hold strong in key moments.

Even against Alabama, despite giving up huge rushing numbers again, our defense gave up just 35 to one of the more talented teams.

We also wouldn't have been able to win without big clutch plays from our defense in the Florida and Georgia games.

I don't think most coordinators would even be competitive given the luck/lack of SC that we have had in injuries.
Especially given that stretch of opponents.

Some may say that I am just reaching or that anytime we lose by the 39, there is no credit to give to any defensive player or coach, but given how much our healthy offense was stifled I am very impressed by our defensive staff.

GBO!

No. No one gets any credit when you give up 600 yard. Hell no

80 points and nearly 1,200 yards given up the last 2 weeks.

Injuries have certainly hurt us but this offense was getting gashed up the middle, getting constantly beaten to the edge and getting consistently thrown deep on from day one this year.

We don't look like a fundamentally sound, well coached team at all. All our defensive numbers are worse this year under Shoop than they were last year under Jancek.

I'm more than happy to give credit where credit is due. I just don't see where he's due a whole lot at this point.

They hit, but are very poor at open field tackling and wrapping up. Basic fundamentals are lacking!

I wish I had a dollar for every time I have seen an opposing player move forward after contact from one of our defensive players. The problem seems to be mainly with the defensive backs and backup linebackers (Elliot Berry did okay yesterday with the few tackles he made).

We held them to 14 points in the first half. We held them to 21/28 for the majority of the game. The offense gave NO help to the defense at all..... The collapse was gonna happen sooner or later
