Yahoo Report: Oregon paid Lache Seastrunk's Handler

I'm sure that's all that happened. Twenty five thousand dollars for highlight tapes seems reasonable.

Reasonable for personal highlight tapes with Shay Maria.

Oregon paid a guy $25k to a guy the recruits mom thought was a 'trainer.'

Whether or not the NCAA seeks to crucify oregon for this, the writing is on the wall that the ducks paid for a player.

The recruit's mom is barely present in the recruit's life. The recruit probably didn't share much info with his mom because of her disinterest in him.

They paid $25,000 dollars to get video and information on high school football players. They processed this payment through the school's athletic department and compliance office.

If they wanted people not to know, they would've done it under the table. Not in a way that is easily accessible and easy to prove.

TCU may get a huge present IMO. Either way both teams that played in the championship are being accused of paying players, that's pretty F'd up.

USC got a two year ban for an agent paying money to a players family to try and lock up an agreement after he turned pro.

What Oregon did is a lot worse. They know why they paid 25k.

I love how everyone pretends like they know "what happened."

Come on now, you have no idea.

Video has been uncovered implicating Oregon.

Say what?!?.

“I had my mom for a brief time, but she left,” he says. “And my dad left. And then my mom came back. And she was in my life for a long time. That’s when my dad came back, and I had my mom and my dad. But they were never together. They were always separated. And then my dad left again.”

Reading comprehension.

"She was in my life for a long time."

Was.

Particularly during his recruitment.

Temple running back Lache Seastrunk has already made two visits to Texas in the past two weeks and said the Texas coaches have made him feel like he's 'already a part of the family.' Seastrunk spoke with Inside Texas about where the Longhorns now stand in recruiting, his two recent visits to UT -- including what his mom thinks about the Texas coaches -- his upcoming visit to LSU and more.

Just one visit wasn't enough for Lache Seastrunk.

The Temple running back is one of the top players in the recruiting class of 2010 and he showed why when attended a Texas camp on June 15th, when he was near-unanimously considered the best athlete there. Last week Seastrunk made his way back to the 40 Acres because there was someone else who needed to see UT.

“The reason I went back to Texas is I wanted to take my mom so she could see what I enjoyed so much about Texas,” said Seastrunk. “She said, 'If my baby's going to go there, I want to see it.”

"God is going to give me a vision of where He wants me to be to succeed. My mom needs to be happy, too," said Seastrunk, who's 27 yards from becoming Temple's career rushing leader. He should attain that goal early in the Wildcats' season opener against Cedar Park on Friday night at Wildcat Stadium.

Do a Google search for “Seastrunk” and “mom”. She is mentioned throughout his recruitment at school after school after school. Why would you get on a public message board and claim that his Mom was not a part of her childs life?

... and you said that I was being an ASS.

Such as your self:

"They processed this payment through the school's athletic department and compliance office."

Unless you're in the AP department, how do you know how the payment was processed?

Uh, they released the invoices and payment records to the public.

Where does it state that it went through the AD an compliance office?

Again, why would the invoice come before the PO was issued?

The University made that statement.

The payment was apparently processed after the invoice was sent.

Judging by that article, it didn't seem that his mother was very present.

Where did you read anything in that article that resembled - she is barely present in his life and she is disinterested in him?

Telling a lie about her was your excuse for her thinking that the guy was a trainer. What is your next excuse for her thinking he was a trainer?

Not going to make any guarantees, but it will probably involve aliens, the Bush administration, and mind control.

we have plenty of evidence the other guy was his handler and he got paid by oregon as well.

You are an extraordinary liar, you know that?

There is absolutely no evidence that suggests Baron Flenory was De'Anthony Thomas' handler - none. In fact what we do have is a quote from Thomas indicating that he only knew Flenory as a camp organizer, and the knowledge that Flenory was only paid less than 4k by the Oregon athletic department - well before Thomas signed with the Ducks. Wouldn't you imagine it would take more than a few thousand dollars to pry a consensus 5* from USC?

The worst part about this is that it's obvious you just made this garbage up without bothering to check any facts for yourself.

There was "no evidence" one of our coaches arranged the hostess trips at first, either.
