Does anyone know who owns the huge yacht that has just arrived for the game this weekend? It was parked in the same spot near the boathouse for the Florida game as well.

I think I do, if we’re talking about the same person. What color yacht is it? What brand, and what’s the length?

From the article
The owner of the 6-year-old yacht, who Corcoran declined to identify, brought his yacht to Knoxville two weeks ago for the Tennessee-Alabama football game.
it was 4 years ago tho so maybe he is back :)

A few years ago I remember a huge yacht being in town for the Alabama game. It was flying an Alabama flag though. It was so big they had to park it in the middle of the river and ride over on a smaller boat. It’s amazing what money can buy.

That’s not the same boat as the one from 4 years ago. I am pretty sure you are talking about “Sensation” which is a boat from Fort Loudon Yacht Club. I met the owners at the Memorial Day party at Chattanooga Yacht Club this spring, but I can’t remeber the name right now. Nice folks though.

Get the name of the yacht and Google it. So if the name is "Freak", type in M/V Freak (for "Motor Vessel Freak"). If it's registered with the IMO, which it should be, you'll get a list of responses, and the name of the owner, or LLC, or company, or whatever, will be in there.

You can also run it on the Marine Traffic (AIS) app. Or you can ask a TWRA marine officer, if you know one. I'll guarantee you they know who's it is.

Hope that helps.

As it says in this article...

$20 million yacht gets stuck on Tennessee River

The dingy is named “Freedom” in the article...

Now...I know there is some $ in Tennessee...but a reported $20M boat...like the one described as visiting Neyland...aren’t just cruising all up and down the Tennessee River. My guess is it’s the same boat.
