i just turned on my xbox and on the main menu it said Free Games with Gold. Assassin's Creed 2 is the game that it has right now

I'm pretty sure the next free one on August 1st is gonna be Halo 3

but AC2 is a solid game
...better than the last 2 free ones they released.

great, now if they just wouldn't host the download on a server with the bandwidth of a 128k ISDN line. 4 hours in and only 12% downloaded.

wow. mine was pretty quick for a 5GB file. maybe an hour

mine took bout 45 minutes.

I stopped the download, then restarted it, moved right along after that.

I grabbed this one, just to have it. Haven't played it yet and not sure if I will. Although I've heard good things, I'm not sure it's the type of game I enjoy.

lol same here. also i only had a 20gb hardrive before which was nearly full.... ordered a second one (60GB) just to download all the free games they are releasing

I had traded this in years ago, glad they offered it for free on XBL. Never finished it before and this will give me that opportunity to while waiting on Next Gen and GTA

and even with my buying a harddrive, its still free. i cashed in some of my amazon gift cards i earned online

I had the game on launch day back in 2007, traded it in sometime in 2008. Hard to believe it's been 6 years since it was released.
