He's moving his arm, which is great news. I doubt we'll see him again this season, though.

He gave a good attempt at waving with his left arm, please Lord let him be ok...

So, who out there was complaining about the "don't lead with your head" crusade? Where are you now?

Anyway....

I don't believe this looks like a serious injury. What we're likely looking at would be a nerve compression, POSSIBLE spinal cord compression (which would disrupt motor nerve function to the extremities, but would not result in permanent or even long-term paralysis), or being knocked out. Given that Xavier gave a somewhat spaghetti-armed thumbs-up and wave, I'm inclined to think a slight spinal compression; it would result in short-term paralysis (by which I mean six hours or less) and a general feeling of weakness or "jelly arm" in the extremities.

The lesson for the kids out there is this. DO NOT LEAD WITH YOUR HEAD!

I thought the same thing, but I think Inky's injury was really, really rare. Still, I can't help but think it's all the result of poor tackling mechanics.

What is this "tackling" you speak of???

I certainly didn't see any of it tonight.

Im a member of the dont lead with your head crusade. As soon as i saw the play the first words out of my mouth would probably get me banned but it was essentually, "Great job X a piss poor attempt at trying to take out a player took you out for a long time and damn near took out a future great player." I truely hope he will be OK because he is young and can help the team but that was stupid wreckless and irresponsible.

I'm not sure what you mean by young...but if you mean young for a college player...he is a senior, so he's not too young. If you mean..don't screw your life over..you're young and have a bright future, then I get your drift :eek:k:
