I think it's to motivate the players. They will think hey, if he can endure it, so can I.

This is like the opposite of William Henry Harrison's toughness.. Hopefully it doesn't have the same outcome.

Bingo. To show them the heat is all in their mind. The Fulmer staff used to all wear nylon pullover jackets for the same reason.

Exactly. No cry babies. It's like he's saying that he wants no whinners, I know it's hot!

Thanks for the correction... Sorry, should've been more clear. I was saying G Jones is a monster right now, just like the OP stated that Wylie is a monster. D Moore looks cut right now, but GJ looks ridiculous.

Hopefully Jones will go out and truck some DB's this season.

That was to prove to them that the lard around his waist was all in their mind.

Instead of making working out a part of the job, he makes it a mindset, which means players likely start looking forward to the workouts, the gains, and pumped about the direction of the program.

Some people are actually in shape.

Well, if he passes out for any reason then the point of wearing the hoodie is kinda moot. If he manages to drop some Lbs. then he is better off. To get this job, I would expect he knows his own body, guess he's not hedging his bets on luck. Dude is prolly able to stand in a fire and barely break sweat. Must be nice to have a job where you need to be in shape with the best fascilities to make that happen.

Pretty good motivation if you ask me.....I wouldn't stand out there in a hoodie.....but hey, more power to him
