WWII First-Person Shooter for Next Gen

The WWII games used to be all we'd see, but after 2008 it died and is currently dormant. Who else would love to see a new WWII game for the new consoles (PS4/Xbox One)? I think it's been way too long without one.

I would love to see BF go back to WW2 again. 1942 was an amazing game.

Agreed. They kind of went away from it because people seemed to think that time period had been done to death. Now, the "modern warfare" angle has also been run into the ground. Would be fun to go back to WWII and just gun in gun action as opposed to the constant choppers and kill streaks that permeate the current games.

Instead of changing the era how about changing the game play?

More maps with interacting environments, more game styles, more user input into custom rules per matches.

Agreed, but I also enjoyed the kill streaks in COD WAW. Artillery strikes, dog attacks, bombers, etc. were a blast to call in.

I agree on some COD games, but I thought WAW and 4 were the most balanced in terms of killstreaks.

Civil War game.

Revolutionary War game done right would be sweet. In assassin's creed 3 the revolutionary war parts interested me the most. Loved it. A game centered around it for next gen would be awesome IMO.

They would have to make a pretty intriguing hand to hand combat system to keep it interesting. Don't think anyone has the patience to fire, wait 30 seconds to reload, then fire again!

I really want WW2 to come back. I never grew tired of it in the first place, maybe because I love the history behind it so much....
